Dion makes her art in the Caribbean, on the island Bonaire.
Her art is different; driftwood sculpting is a combination of clay seeming to melt with driftwood.

The sculptures she is making represent the souls of the trees. These souls are half way, as it seems they are coming out of the tree and become visible this way. Driftwood, beaten and broken, and left on the shore is getting a new life, beautiful as the tree once was.

Dion’s line on this is: ”Like us, trees do have souls, I only make this visible to us with the use of some clay”

Through this medium she shows her creations to the public.
